Background

From 2008 to 2012 attorney Jonathan L. Phillips worked at the Fairfax County Commonwealth's Attorney office prosecuting misdemeanor and felony matters for the county and state. Prior to attending law school at Pennsylvania State University, Jonathan L. Phillips was an I.T. consultant and Computer Science/Business degree holder having graduated from Virginia Tech in 2003. Upon his departure from the Commonwealth's office he has amassed significant trial experience, handling thousands of misdemeanors and felony cases, taking over 100 cases to jury and bench trials in the Circuit Court of Fairfax County for charges ranging from Driving While Intoxicated to Possession of Child Pornography to Manslaughter. With regular jury trials, daily misdemeanor dockets and preliminary hearing responsibilities, countless sentencing events, and extensive and difficult plea negotiations under his belt, Jonathan L. Phillips moved from public service to assist clients in the private sector with the founding of Jonathan Phillips, P.C.
